    Elegant and Enduring.

A Southlake couple renovating their master bathroom wanted a material that would feel genuinely luxurious, not marble-look quartz, but the real thing. We sourced a matched pair of Carrara marble slabs with consistent soft grey veining and installed a honed-finish double vanity with two undermount basin cutouts.

Honed marble requires a different finishing and sealing approach to polished stone. We applied two coats of penetrating impregnating sealer before installation and advised the homeowners on a simple monthly maintenance routine to keep the surface pristine long-term.

    Honed Marble Vanity Installation

Matching veining across a double vanity with two basin cutouts is one of the more technically demanding installations we do. Every cut was planned digitally before any stone was touched, ensuring the natural pattern flows continuously across both sinks.

    Questions? You’re covered.

Bathrooms are actually the ideal environment for marble, lower traffic and less exposure to cooking acids than kitchens. With proper sealing it performs exceptionally well long-term.

    1. Polished marble has a high-gloss reflective finish that amplifies veining. Honed marble is matte and softer in appearance, it also shows fewer water marks, which many homeowners prefer in bathrooms.

In a bathroom setting, we recommend resealing once a year. It's a simple 20-minute process that any homeowner can do themselves with the right product.
